What is responsibility?

What is responsibility?

Taking responsibility is to take charge of any circumstance that is happening to you in your life, with the underlying belief that you are living consciously and creating your life circumstances.

Stop allowing yourself to be stuck in a victim mentality, blaming others or God for whatever befalls you. Each person creates their own thoughts, feelings and makes their own decisions, so they must also take responsibility for their results.

It’s easy to blame others because this allows you to avoid taking responsibility for your own actions, your own circumstances, your own health, your own decisions.

Sometimes we simply say that it is what God wants, however God has endowed us with the ability to change the way we respond to events and circumstances. Most of the time, we simply do not take up this option.

Any situation that arises that you dislike, know that you have the ability to change it. You can either change the situation itself, or, if that is beyond your control, you can change the way you perceive the situation, the way you think or feel about it. This is fully within your control. No one can MAKE you think or feel in a certain way, it is only your thoughts that create this. And, you can change your thoughts to allow yourself to feel better.

If you remain unaware of this, you will be forever trying to change the other person or the external thing, which will lead you to feelings of stagnation, suffering, and pain. Really, you can only change yourself, however there is great power in being able to change your thoughts. Give it a try!

How to develop good habits?

How to develop good habits?

In my experience I realized that the key to changing those useless habits for something better is repetition. Repeating mentally what you want to keep. Ignoring what you don’t want. Constancy, perseverance and patience help you change.

Ignore the habit you want to get rid of. At the same time mentally and verbally repeat the new habit that you want to plant, practice it constantly and over time there is a displacement that allows the unwanted habit to go away, and its place is gradually replaced by the new habit. It’s a natural process.

This process can be done without effort, without fighting and without complaining to avoid resistance.

An example of this is getting rid of beliefs that limit your growth and development. Open your mind to accept that there is much to learn and that we have many implanted thought patterns in our subconscious that we do not even know are there. Be humble to accept, and open to explore and integrate consciously and voluntarily everything you can change to enhance your life.

The habit of creating negative and destructive thoughts can be replaced with positive and creative phrases that you constantly repeat until you believe it yourself and come to form your new thoughts. Your mind cannot tell the difference between what is real and what is imagined. By repeating what you do want, you can trick your mind into believing it until it becomes real.

There are many habits that we have developed throughout our lives and which have become normalized for us. We don’t realize that they hurt us and our fellow human beings, sometimes affecting our health or our relationships. An example of this is criticizing, judging, consuming liquor and smoking, among others, which are carried out unconsciously inside our homes.

Be humble and open minded so you discover all those habits that are not serving you, be aware and take responsibility to change them for your own good if you wish. This will create well-being for you and for those around you.

How To Handle Stress in Difficult Times?

How To Handle Stress in Difficult Times?

Life has ups and downs. So, how do you manage stress during those difficult times?

Try to distract yourself and seek to disconnect from the stressful situation, find a totally different activity, go for a walk, bathe, listen to music, and immerse yourself into nature if possible. Talk about the subject if you need it to relieve yourself, but try to find the positives in it, rather than purely focusing on the negative situation.

Work internally in accepting the situations that you can’t change Remember that while you may not be able to change the situation, you can change your thoughts and your response to that situation. By focusing on the positives, however small, you can change your feelings and thoughts, little by little.

When there is painful or shocking news, try to avoid watching or listening if you can, because you are vulnerable to take on the negative aspects of that news.

You can be aware of the damage your thoughts cause you, and at the same time responsible for what comes into your mind and what you create with all that. Make the decision to choose the thought, the activity, and the people that are beneficial to you.

Take a deep breath, meditate and relax. Bring to your mind and heart all the good that builds you positively from within. Move your thoughts to those beautiful and rewarding moments that you have had in your life, and have the optimism to realize that there are things you cannot change, but you are fully in control of your thoughts.

Choose your thoughts wisely. They help create your life.
